Why Penetrating Waterproofing Is Needed

Penetrating waterproofing is a material used for the chemical treatment of concrete surfaces, ensuring their water resistance and protection against aggressive environments. It consists of Portland cement, very fine quartz sand, and special activating chemical additives. It provides water resistance for underground structures under hydrostatic pressure when applied to their interior surface.

After the penetrating waterproofing is applied, the chemical compounds move through the concrete's pores and capillary channels along with the water, even against high hydraulic pressure, forming crystalline structures.

The crystalline structures formed by the penetrating waterproofing have pores so small that water cannot pass through them. However, they do not block air and vapor permeability. As a result, the concrete can "breathe" while remaining completely dry.

High-quality penetrating waterproofing can be used in concrete structures designed for storing drinking water. It contains no solvents and releases no harmful fumes.

How Penetrating Waterproofing Work Is Carried Out

The quality of penetrating (capillary) waterproofing depends on how well the surface was
prepared. In addition, the solution can be applied in several layers, but in that case, each
previous layer must be allowed to dry before applying the next.

Sequence of Steps:

Cleaning the surface of dirt, paint, and oils
Opening the surface pores using chemical or mechanical methods
Mandatory wetting of the surface with water
Applying the prepared compound to the surface using a stiff brush or sprayer

Important Features:

Penetrating waterproofing is not suitable for brick due to its structure, but it works well for protecting the joints between brickwork
Penetrating waterproofing is also suitable for foam blocks, although foam concrete has larger pores. The surface is first impregnated with a water-repellent compound, and then the penetrating waterproofing is applied.
Modern high-quality waterproofing is applied in a single layer, while lower-quality penetrating waterproofing requires multiple layers.

    Calculation of Works + Materials

    We will provide recommendations on material selection and reinforcement/waterproofing technology, and calculate the exact price for your project

    Signing of the Contract

    After the technical and commercial proposal (KP) is agreed upon, we sign the contract. We start work upon receipt of an advance payment. We accept both cash and non-cash payments, with or without VAT

    Execution of Works

    We mobilize equipment, materials, and manpower, and begin waterproofing or reinforcement works

    Acceptance and Payment

    You inspect the quality of the completed work and, after signing the acceptance certificate, pay the remaining balance under the contract

    What warranty do you provide for completed works?

    The warranty for any type of waterproofing is 2 years. For injection waterproofing and foundation reinforcement, the warranty is up to 5 years.

    Why is injection waterproofing needed?

    Injection waterproofing helps to interrupt capillary flow and reduce the permeability of foundations, walls, and floor slabs. Injections of polyurethane gel (works on concrete), polyurethane resin (works on concrete and precast structures), and silicon-siloxane compounds (work on brickwork and precast structures) prevent moisture from being absorbed into the structural materials and improve the waterproofing properties of buildings.
